About Us
Eau Claire Academy was initially opened in 1967 as a residential treatment facility. Over time, it evolved into a residential and day school building. In 2022, the residential facility closed while the day school remained and, in the Fall of 2023, Eau Claire Academy moved locations, where it is solely run as an alternative day school.

Programming
We focus on each student’s individual needs and abilities while teaching problem solving skills, social and emotional learning competencies, and academics.
Advantages to our smaller classroom sizes include:
- Focus on individual needs and abilities
- Immediate feedback to reteach more appropriate behaviors/coping skills
- Foster the ability to form healthy social skills and relationships
Our staff and administrators work as an effective team with the home school district, county agencies, outside counselors/therapists, families, foster homes, and the students to ensure success.
